Maria McCabe

Maria McCabe has worked in the university sector since 1997. Before that, she taught English as a Foreign Language in The Czech Republic, Greece and Japan. 'How to get an Internship or Work Placement' is her first book. It is based on ten years' experience of helping students find placements and is designed to be a practical and encouraging guide. It covers the topics that similar books commonly overlook including strategy, timing and emotions. It also explains why commercial awareness is so important and how students of any discipline can develop it.
