Gilly Pickup

I am Gilly Pickup, award winning journalist/ travel & cruise specialist/ author. My features are published in national newspapers and magazines in the UK and overseas. Travels have taken me to around 60 countries and I have sailed on more than 40 cruise ships. I also write features on health and well being, food, history, arts & culture, the paranormal, wildlife and animals. I have had eleven books published. May I suggest to all those first time would-be authors out there, if a book is worth publishing, then a reputable publisher will accept it. Promise.

Prior to my journalism career I worked as a Senior Political Researcher in the Palace of Westminster and back in the mists of time I was a local authority housing manager in Scotland, where I grew up.
