Robert A. Cozzi

Robert A. Cozzi was raised in Westfield, New Jersey in a loving Irish-Italian family that spent summer vacations along the Atlantic Ocean, frolicking in the surf, chasing seagulls and eating salt water taffy. Educated at James Madison University and New York University, Robert has maintained a daily journal since he was in the ninth grade, where a favored teacher, Mr. Paul Kocum encouraged his writing. In addition to his journal, he listens to Stevie Nicks and produces short stories, poetry and prose.

Robert’s passion to set words onto paper is so strong that it dominates his free time from his daily position in hotel management. Each Saturday morning, he reads to children between the ages of seven and thirteen. This began in a hospital setting decades ago, and continues at a local library today. Many years ago, through the inspiration of a fellow poet, Gerard Yatcilla, Robert has been preparing a fresh work which he shares each Sunday morning with his followers via the Internet. His followers are all over the globe… From England and many parts of Europe to Australia and the entire continental States. His mother, Claire Bride Cozzi, was also a writer, and has inspired and guided his works.

“Tide Pool of Words” is his debut book of poetry, and his second book, "Handful Of Memories" is a collection of poetry and personal essays. His forthcoming third release, "Blanket of Hearts" features poetry from Robert regarding the often-harsh terrain and mine-studded landscape of relationships. From Haunting My Empty Arms to Flashes of Mad Happiness, he reminds us that love is worth the cost it demands of us. And phrases like, “Your silhouette is touching my hand,” or “There are too many | fragmented feelings to tend to still | Before he can stop running in place” echo like sirens across the sea of our own lost chances."Blanket of Hearts" is his most intimate work yet.
