Marlene Rose-Clarke was born in Kingston, Jamaica and came to the United States at age 10 after her mother migrated to Connecticut to become a nanny for a large Jewish family. She was raised in Connecticut. After high school she attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she earned her BA in Marketing and Business Administration. She later earned her Master's in Communications at Fairfield University. She has been a business professional in corporate America for three decades. She loves to travel and has traveled to many Caribbean islands, Europe, North America, North Africa,South and Central America. Marlene has lived in many intercultural environments. She loves books and believes communication is the most important thing it the world because it can change lives. She resides in Connecticut. She has been married for 25 years. She has a teenage son and daughter. Her thesis, Jamaican immigrants: perceptions of work, education and cultural adaptation is published in the Fairfield University Library,
