There is one single art obsession that governs all of my work: creating patterns and designs on surface. It can be painting, screen printing, hand stitching, drawing – the goal is always to build a textured, layered visual experience.
Marking art is a privilege, being creative is a calling. There is always space for creativity.
I am an avid writer . I’ve written over forty magazine articles for publications such as Quilting Arts, Cloth Paper Scissors, Fiber Art Now, Generation Q, Sew Somerset and Uppercase.
As a surface pattern designer, I have a love affair with covering anything with imagery and texture. I designed a line of quilting fabrics called ‘INKED’ and am forever adding to my library of patterns.
I am passionate about printing fabric with traditional printmaking techniques such as screen printing, monoprinting and direct painting. I am a maker of parts for other artists to use in their work and the connection that creates is at the core of what I do.
