Stephen Kuert

Stephen Kuert has lived most of his life in East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, and Madagascar. His interest in writing goes back to his tenth grade high school literature classes in Nairobi, Kenya. And to a gift he received in elementary school- The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. He was captivated by the power of a story to lift the reader into a different time and place. These characters mesmerized him: talking animals and trees that represented something far bigger and more substantive than life's usual challenges. These books left an indelible impression on his heart: he would write an allegorical story that captured similar elements of truth. And what better way to do this than to explore the intricacies of African culture and life that he knew and loved. And so his first book The Dream from Africa came to life.

Since that time he has authored several other books based on experiences from his life in East Africa. These include Africa Missionary Devotional Stories I & II as well Missionary and the Sach Story. In addition, he has authored several books connected to life lessons and biblical principles that have directed him while serving in East Africa. These include the Opportunity of the 11th Hour and To Go or Not to Go. Each book conveys personal insights, humorous stories and challenging life application.
