Cynthia Joseph

Cynthia Joseph was born and grew up in Malaysia, and migrated to Australia where she is currently an academic at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Cynthia is the author of "Growing Up Female in Multi-ethnic Malaysia" (Routledge, 2014) and co-editor of "Equity, Opportunity and Education in Postcolonial Malaysia" (Routledge, 2014) and "Black and Postcolonial Feminisms: Researching Educational Inequalities" (Routledge, 2010). In her research, Cynthia draws on Postcolonial Theories, Comparative Education and Asian Studies to research identity, cultural differences and inequality issues in education and work contexts. Her recent work explores identity, culture and innovation in knowledge-intensive industries.
