Deborah Stempien

Deborah Stempien discovered her passion for writing after twenty-five years of running her own screenprint and embroidery business. She lives in Michigan with her husband Leonard, daughter Holly and their guard dog Jo Jo a five-year-old Shih Tzu.

Here are five things you probably don't know about me:

1.I love a good mystery. (Okay I know that's not a secret.)

2.I'm very slow to make new friends.

3.I'm a pretty solitary person. Just the thought of going to conventions or doing a book signing takes me way out of my comfort zone so if you happen to see me somewhere stop and talk to me, I'll be much less intimidated.

4.I didn't complete my first novel until I was sixty, but I have started approximately 20.

5.I love writing because I can go anywhere and be anyone I want to be and that seems pretty magical to me.
