James (Jim) A. Mourey is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at DePaul University in Chicago. Jim attended the John M. Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis where he studied Marketing and International Business. Following undergrad, Jim worked at a St. Louis-based marketing agency specializing in luxury and lifestyle brands with a particular emphasis on localizing international brands throughout the midwest and taking area brands to a national and even international level. Jim then joined a Los Angeles-based management and marketing consulting firm where he served as the executive director of the company's research institute and collaborated on a New York Times Bestselling book with his business partner. Jim then completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a Marketing focus at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Jim has a passion for business, marketing, and teaching, but in his spare time he also enjoys songwriting, singing a cappella with the Chicago-based 'The Uptones,' enduring grueling workouts, and mastering his lifelong love of improv at the revered Second City.
