With over twenty years of experience in management, human resources and project management, Carol Knuth began her pursuit of writing. She was a human resource manager when she began writing her "Garbage Bag Girl" series.
Her "Garbage Bag Girl" series details the heart-wrenching unique challenges at-risk children face, their strong will to survive, and as with her own life, spirits of endurance.
Knuth has advised various organizations and boards that support the improvement of at-risk children and women's lives. Her interest in the topics she writes about stems from her childhood spent in the foster care system, as well as her experiences working in human resources.
Even before Carol Knuth began writing her "Garbage Bag Girl" series, she pondered how to write about her experiences working in the human resources field. During her decades-long career in human resources, she witnessed the investigation of a sexual harassment lawsuit and also became caught in the web of an EEOC lawsuit. Eventually, she would find herself on the other side of the table investigating a harassment case while simultaneously being a sexual harassment victim. How, she wondered, did one write about such important historical events, women's issues.
She threaded pieces of history, truth and creativity into the fabric of her novel "Through the Rain". Clashes on the job between the sexes, complexity of marriage and starting over... timeless. Relatable.
