Rohan Gavin

Rohan Gavin grew up with a love of movies from his father, and stories told by his mother, children's author Jamila Gavin MBE. He was an English scholar at Exeter College, Oxford University, then a fellow at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where he began his career as a screenwriter adapting classic sci-fi novels. Returning to London he decided to become an author himself.

His first book KNIGHTLEY & SON was named one of Kirkus' Best Children's Books of the Year, Sunday Times and Boston Globe Book of the Week, "full of suspense, intrigue and humour this is a modern day classic detective mystery" (The Guardian), "a young Holmes for our time" (The Daily Mail), "a rousing page-turner with one fault: It ends" (Kirkus, starred review). It led to two sequels: KNIGHTLEY & SON: K-9 and KNIGHTLEY & SON: 3 OF A KIND.

His new YA novel DOMAIN was written for his teenage son, to bring the excitement of movies and tech to the page, while being a cautionary tale about screen time.
