Mike Cranny

Early in his career, Michael Cranny did archaeological research in British Columbia and the southwestern United States. He has been a high school teacher and college instructor, and he is a successful textbook author and editor. Anthropology and history feature strongly in his novels, and many of the details that give his writing richness and depth come from personal experience in the field. He enjoys painting and sculpting, and works in a variety of media. He is also an avid birder and amateur naturalist. He lives in Victoria, British Columbia.
