Chris Poole

Chris was born October 1984 in Oak Park, IL to two wonderful parents whom gave him the best possible life they could. Notably the “baby” of his siblings, Chris knew that he had to make a name for himself as he grew up just as well as they would. Born with a creative spirit, Chris began performing and writing at the age of seven where he was molded by others that paved the way before him to be successful. From receiving hand-me-downs from his older brother Chris was determined to become something his family could be proud of. Chris studied and received his B.A. in Television Directing from Columbia College Chicago and his M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management, which led to him building a future brand of his own.

Chris created His Help Entertainment, Inc. in 2009 where he learned the roots of being his on CEO and how to truly build a brand in this industry. Throughout his time in school he was fueled by the hard work of his mentors and the light at the end of the career tunnel that could shape his future to become a noted asset to the film society. During his interim career he worked on honing his skills as an actor, producer and director so that he could understand all aspects of the industry. In 2010 Chris wrote, produced, and directed his first film, “The Battle”, which was a 20's inspired movie of previous black actors before his time. After this film he started to truly see the love and passion for films from within and he wanted more. Since then he has created several other ventures such as several short films, music videos, and countless independent projects.

Chris has recently tackled his love of writing with his first book, "Call of the Grave", and has many more books to come. Even though it may seem as if he started from behind, he knows that he has to prove that he can be just as creative and well rounded as those before and ahead of him.
