Henry Evans

Henry Evans is a 23 year old marine biologist, science communicator, a writer for the Daily Telegraph and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He recently completed the two man International Scott Centenary Expedition to the South Pole to celebrate the centenary of Captain Scott's Terra Nova Expedition of 1912, arriving at the Pole on the 5th of January 2013. It proved to be a life-changing experience.

Henry now runs his own company to inspire and educate others through its live, learn, laugh ethos. He has so far visited over 100 schools throughout Europe, USA, Southeast Asia and China, personally reaching out to over 100,000 students. With his passion for education, Henry is now inspiring a generation and raising awareness of the importance of Antarctica to present day science, conservation and the understanding of our planet's future.

Henry is a global ambassador for Plymouth University and recently obtained a 150th anniversary year scholarship from Plymouth University for Outstanding Achievement, and was also nominated in the "Outstanding Student" category at the 2012 Vice-Chancellor Awards.
