Griselda Heppel's first book, Ante's Inferno (Matador, 2012), won the Children's People's Book Prize, a Silver Wishing Shelf Award and was runner-up in Writing Magazine's Self-Publishing competition. It was followed by The Tragickall History of Henry Fowst (Matador, 2015), a dark tale of magic, mystery, demons and Faustian pacts as an Elizabethan diary comes to life. It too reached the finals of the People's Book Prize competition. For age 11+
The Fall of a Sparrow - a kind of gothic thriller for children - came out with Matador in June, 2021 and reached the finals of the Page Turner awards. For age 9 - 13.
