THE REASON

People often ask, “So what made you want to be a missionary?” Well, the answer to that is simple. It’s the same motivation the apostle Paul voiced in 2 Corinthians 5:14...because the love of Christ compels me to do it.

In 1990, Jesus walked into the life of a rebellious, self-centered and confused 25-year-old preacher's kid and made me a new man. The words of Charles Finney best describe the tangible sense of God's presence that I felt when my heart met His forgiveness and grace: “it seemed to come in waves and waves of liquid love.” In that moment, my life was radically transformed, and the entire framework through which I viewed my life was turned inside out.

I love being a husband and a daddy, to my kids and to those who have never experienced real fatherhood. I love to preach and teach God’s word. I love to pour my life into young people who are hungry to know Jesus more intimately and who are seeking His will for their lives. And I love to walk closely with hurting people to see hearts healed and lives transformed as they come to know God as their Father who delights in them and loves them with a relentless, unfailing love.
