Geoff Trager

Geoff Trager is a marine biologist who knows well the watery wilderness he writes about and the motley mix of hunters, fishers, and boaters who roam it. As a naturalist and kayak tour guide in southwest Florida, he has taken many out on the backwaters to share with them his love and knowledge of wild Florida and the natural wonders therein.

He also seems to have a chronic habit of being a little too friendly to strangers on his outings and hanging out in questionable food and drink establishments on the edge of the Florida Everglades, where tall tales grow taller, and strange characters become stranger. This is his work environment however, and it provides a rich source of authentic material he fictionalizes in the stories he tells.
