D. Marie Prokop enjoys stories with riveting adventures, spiritual insights, and thought-provoking cultural or social observations. Her favorite authors include Madeline L'Engle, Pearl S. Buck, John Green, Agatha Christie, and C. S. Lewis.

The local writing community has blessed D. Marie with both encouragement and education. She writes in many genres, including YA, science fiction, adventure, fantasy, horror, and poetry. Her stories have been published in various anthologies, including those by Inklings Publishing and Z Publishing House.

A singer-songwriter and avid fiber artist/knitter, D. Marie was born and raised in Pennsylvania. The former Yankee now resides in Houston, Texas, along with her loving family, their feisty cats, her beloved ukulele, and much, much yarn.
