Jennifer Wider M.D.

Jennifer Wider, M.D., is a nationally renowned women's health expert, author and radio host. She has appeared on The Today Show, CBS News, Good Day NY, Fox News and News Channels 8 and 12 in Connecticut. Dr. Wider is a medical adviser to Cosmopolitan magazine and hosts a weekly radio segment on Sirius Satellite/XM Radio called "Am I Normal?" for Cosmo Radio. She has been heard on Bloomberg Radio, Oprah radio, WABC-AM Talk Radio, among many other stations across the country.

Dr. Wider is the author of four books, including The Savvy Woman Patient, The Doctor's Complete College Girls' Health Guide, The New Mom's Survival Guide, and the upcoming Got Teens? The Doctor Mom's Guide to Sexuality, Social Media and Other Adolescent Realities. Dr. Wider is a spokesperson for the Society for Women's Health Research, the nation's only non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of all women through research, education and advocacy.

Her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Cosmopolitan magazine, Glamour, SELF, SHAPE, Real Simple, Weight Watchers, Prevention, and Woman's Day magazine. Wider currently writes a twice monthly syndicated column for the Society for Women's Health Research.

Dr. Wider has been an invited guest lecturer and workshop presenter at a variety of hospitals, women's centers, high schools and colleges across the country. She serves and has served on the Health and Medical Advisory Boards of Cosmopolitan Magazine, Society for Women's Health Research (SWHR), Girls Inc. and SingleEdition.com.

She is a graduate of Princeton University and received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. In the past, she worked as a senior editor at Medscape/CBS HealthWatch and as the managing editor of the health channel at iVillage.com.
