Charles Robertson

Charlie Robertson has specialised in emerging and frontier market research for 30 years. He has traveled to over 70 countries and produced research for banks and fund managers he has worked for.

He was voted the top emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa analyst by equity investors in 2007-10 and the top frontier analyst in 2016-20.

He was the first non-African individual to win Africa Icon of the year by African Banker magazine.

The Time Travelling Economist won runner-up in BCA’s Business Book of the Year competition in 2023.
