David Rottman

David Rottman has spent much of his professional life exploring how people change, why we repeat familiar patterns, and what makes it possible to love and be loved more fully.

For more than forty years, Mr. Rottman has taught Jung’s ideas at the C. G. Jung Foundation of New York, where he is a Distinguished Senior Instructor and former President. His teaching has explored dreams, relationships, personal change, love, and intimacy. He has also trained therapists in the United States, England, Russia, and the Middle East.

Earlier, Mr. Rottman spent twenty-six years at JPMorgan Chase, where he headed Career Development. He holds a master’s degree in Applied Psychology from New York University.

His novel, How To Get Ready For Love, grew from a question that has occupied him for many years: What has to happen inside us before we are ready for the love we are looking for?
