Grandma Science

Sharon Johnson graduated with a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Illinois. After 30 years of teaching science, she has spent the past 10 years of her "retirement" writing curriculum and mentoring teachers. She is locally known for her famous "halloween science magic shows" and was dubbed "Grandma Science" by one of her grandchildren's friends. Her four, nonfiction children's books use captivating photographs and delightful verses to introduce children (and their parents and grandparents) to the wonders of the natural world. Her children's books are: The Lives of Penguins, The Rarest Penguin and the Enchanted Galapagos Islands, The Amazingly Awesome Animals of the Amazon River Rainforest," and "The Littlest Beach and The Great Coral Reef." She is also the co-author of the popular middle school STEM chemistry series entitled, "Synergized Middle School Chemistry."
