Asoka Selvarajah

Asoka Selvarajah was born in London, England to Sri Lankan parents. He studied at Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith (same school as actor Hugh Grant, whom he knew quite well) and then attained a B.Sc. and PhD in Physics at Birmingham University, UK.

Asoka spent 11 years in the Investment Banking industry working for mainstream financial institutions like Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, Rabobank, EBRD, Salomon Brothers. During this time, his main activity was forecasting the direction of financial markets using Technical Chart Analysis, and creating trading strategies.

In 1998, he left the financial industry and the UK. He founded the Mystic Visions website, amongst others, and spends his time researching, writing and teaching about personal development and spiritual growth principles. He also creates products relating to these subjects. His own spiritual path has moved from Atheism to Evangelical Christianity to New Age. At present, Buddhism is the philosophy that he identifies most with.

Asoka enjoys a wide variety of music including new age, classical, world, blues, jazz and rock. He has been a huge fan of Bob Dylan since 1981. He has traveled widely to countries such as China, Peru, India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Israel, Egypt, Kenya, Mexico, USA, and many countries of Western Europe.

Asoka lives alone somewhere in the countryside with his two beloved cats Hermes and Shelley.
