Ruth Maddock is an author and designer with a passion for children's health and well-being. She lives in a 16th-century farmhouse in Herefordshire (UK) with her family, pets, and a flock of chickens.
Ruth's Christian faith is central to all her work and writing and she is also informed by her keen interest in current affairs.
She is a knitwear, crochet, and sewing pattern designer, creating sewing patterns for children—especially those with sensory needs—through her business, Ruth Maddock Makes.
She has designed for most of the leading UK craft magazines and has authored two craft books, 'Designer Knits' (also published as 'Creative Knits') - under her maiden name of Ruth Maria Swepson - and 'Hooked on Crochet' published by Bloomsbury Visual Arts.
Drawing from her experience as a mother of four, she explores parenting, faith, health, and alternative therapies in Mothering Sundae - an insightful guide for parents, available on Amazon.
