Gordon Bagshaw

Gordon Bagshaw is an award-winning Canadian artist and illustrator whose work celebrates the humorous, profound bond between humans and their canine companions. He is the creator of Dog Laughs—the global comic strip featuring the Frodo the Sheltie book series and the antics of George and Amarela.

Beyond vector art, Gordon utilizes 3D modeling and bitmap painting to craft his distinctive storytelling. His professional pedigree includes significant industry recognition:

Born with Nemaline Myopathy (NM), a rare neuromuscular condition, Gordon is a member of the global NM community, raising awareness while embracing a creative life. Currently residing in São Paulo, Brazil, with his wife, Raquel, and their dog, George, he balances his artistic practice with work as an experienced ESL instructor and language coach.
