Dr. Rhythm is really Dr. B. L. Buddy Fish.
He writes about Emotional Intelligence.
Dr. Fish has been an early childhood educator for over 40 years. Upon receiving his Doctorate, he began a career in higher education in 2003. He is currently an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education.
Using his skills as a storyteller and musician, Dr. Fish authored several children’s books and two albums of songs and stories under the pseudonym Dr. Rhythm. He has received accolades from the Mississippi Arts in Education Roster. Further, he wrote a book about raising emotionally intelligent children which is used as a textbook in several courses in early childhood education.
Dr. Fish advocates for young children. He was chairman of the State of Mississippi Child Care Advisory board for 8 years. He was a member of the Professional Development panel for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and continues to perform training and technical assistance to child care facilities and Head Start grantees throughout the southern states.
