Mark A. Menaldo is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He received his B.A. in philosophy and sociology from Colorado College and Ph.D. in Political Science at Michigan State University. In 2011, he was awarded the Fredric M Jablin Doctoral Dissertation Award for his dissertation, Putting Statesmanship Back Into Statecraft: The Role of Transformative Ambition in International Relations. He is the author of (2013) Leadership and Transformative Ambition in International Relations (Edward Elgar) and research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Leadership Accountability and Ethics, and Leadership and the Humanities. Menaldo is originally from Mexico City.
