Ron Marks was born in Washington, DC in 1947 and has resided in the DC area most of his life. Educated at the University of Maryland and Tampa University, he earned a bachelors degree in criminology. His career which spanned 35 years, included 7 years in the US Army Infantry and over 25 years with the US Treasury. Marks composed this manuscript in his mind many times over for years. At 65 and forty years after returning from Southeast Asia, he decided to write his first novel. The author served with the 1st Infantry Division and the 173d Airborne Brigade in South Vietnam from 1968-1770. His passions are the welfare of veterans, and conservation and preservation, especially, that of wild cheetahs. He is also a strong advocate of health and fitness, and has traveled extensively. The author resides in Fairfax, Virginia.
