Sandra Tork

Award Winning Author, Sandra Tork lived her early years in Oklahoma. She has five brothers and two sisters. Her father worked for the National Park Service for many years and in 1975, the family transferred from Oklahoma to Arkansas. Sandra attended school from the 7th through the 10th grade in Arkansas. In 1979 moved to Missouri, where she finished out her last two years of high school.

Sandra and her husband Kevin, have 3 sons and 1 daughter. The inspiration for her children's series comes from her love for children and dogs.

As a teenager, she worked alongside her mother as a part time housekeeper for a local motel. In 1981-82, Sandra worked for the National Park Service through the Young Adult Conservation Corp (YACC) program. She has waited tables, worked in a cap factory and spent most of her adult life working in offices.

Sandra has been listed in the "Who's Who Among American Business Women", and invited to join MENSA. In '06 Sandra studied for, and passed both sections of the Arkansas State Insurance Examination on the first attempt, something no one had accomplished in seven years prior to. From 2006-2008, she was a member of and served as Board Member, to the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) in Arkansas, where she currently resides. Sandra has a passion for writing and storytelling. She enjoys writing fiction and nonfiction, suspense thrillers and children's books!
