Daniel Roch is an SEO/GEO consultant and WordPress expert. As the founder of the SeoMix agency and the creator of the SEOKEY plugin, he is the leading author on WordPress SEO in France.
His first web project was far from serious: he led a mod for the video game Morrowind. He moved into SEO in 2008, first as a webmaster and then as a web marketing manager in-house. In 2013, SeoMix became his main business. Since then, the Nantes-based agency has worked with more than 500 clients, from small businesses to large corporations, and has trained more than 300 people.
That same year, Eyrolles published his book "Optimiser son référencement WordPress" (Optimizing Your WordPress SEO). It is now in its 5th edition, with 669 pages and 38 chapters. He went on to co-write "Le SEO en 500 questions" (SEO in 500 Questions) with Olivier Andrieu. He then took over "Réussir son référencement web" (Succeeding at Web SEO), Olivier Andrieu's classic guide. He wrote the 12th edition, which comes out in November 2026 with a foreword by Sylvain Peyronnet. In all, he has written three books across seven editions. He also writes for Abondance's professional newsletter.
In 2022, he launched SEOKEY, his own SEO plugin for WordPress, designed to be simpler and easier to learn from. He has also been an official WordPress Core contributor since version 5.5.
On stage, he has given more than 100 talks since 2011, including TEDx Lannion ("How Search Engines Manipulate Us"), SMX Paris, SEOCamp'us, SEO Summit, Web2Day, QueDuWeb and WordCamp. He co-founded WP Tech, the first event in France devoted entirely to technical talks about WordPress. He co-organizes WordCamp Bretagne and runs the WordPress and SEO meetups in Nantes.
Born in Nantes in 1985, he is married with two children. He spends his free time on strategy video games and woodworking. In both, as in SEO, you measure twice and cut once.
