E. M. Bannock

E.M. Bannock grew up in the Detroit suburbs. Her father was a great storyteller, and she inherited his imagination.

After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she met her husband. They have lived in California, Oregon, Alaska, Florida, and Wyoming, where she now lives with her family.

She’s made a living as an office manager, computer programmer/analysts, project manager, clothing store clerk, substitute teacher, and buffalo meatpacker. Throughout it all, she never lost her love for writing.

Like the main character in her first book, she is a vegetarian; however, her husband and son are hunters. She loves nature and enjoys living in a rural environment. She also loves to cook and can make delicious meat dishes without tasting them.

Her first book, Totally Devoted, available in audio, is a 2019 National Excellence in Romance Fiction finalist in two categories: Contemporary Romance 65K Words and Up and Best First Book.

Her second book, Zoey’s Place, was published in 2019. Can a vegetarian from California fall in love with a country contractor from rural Oregon? Sparks do fly. Zoey’s Place, published in 2019, is a little different than her western adventures. It’s a sexy romance with twists, turns, and surprising solutions.

Out of Dreams, the first book in The LaFontaines series, was published in early 2021, and Book 2, Out of Nowhere, in 2022. The third book, Out of Love, was published in 2024, and the final book of the series, Out of Time, was published in 2026. The LaFontaines run a bison ranch in Red Lodge, MT. Wolf’s mother was Lakota Sioux, and he was raised with her values. They are his guide as life presents itself, both the good and the bad.

She writes for the love of it. Most of what she writes touches her personally. Close friends and family can spot the moments. The vivid, detailed location descriptions usually come from her own experiences. Researching for accuracy is part of her writing process. She especially enjoys hearing from and interacting with her readers.
