Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. A charming hand crafted work of automotive art. The book measures 10 1/2" x 8 1/2", made by Ben Herr, a civil engineer from Beaver Falls, PA. c1960. The front and rear pastedowns & endpapers are hand illustrations of vintage autos The 41 single sided book opens with a table of contents: Pages 1-6 "Capitalism's Favorite Child" - automotive history. Pages 13-14 - How car design has evolved. Pages 24 & 25- The auto was a born show-off. Pages 27 & 28- Motoring was exciting but hazardous adventure. The rest of the pages have black and white photos of vintage automobiles, mounted on background paper. A couple of missing original images have facsimile images tipped-in. All in all a well written & well crafted labor of love. Scrapbook.
