Josephine Gordon

Hi

I was born in south east London to Irish parents. Father is from Arklow, Co. Wicklow and mother is from Castletown Berehaven, Co. Cork.

My husband and I moved to southern, Ireland. A few years later, we moved to the Scottish Highlands - where we've lived for 19 years. It's a beautiful place and, has spurred me to write.

On 25th June, 2014. I won a poetry competition, held by, 'Elgin Writers.' Judged by, 'Black Isle Writers Group'. The title was 'Atmosphere.'

'Elgin Writers' released an anthology in, 2014. Two pieces, of my work, appear in this book - 'Where am I' - a short mystery story and the, aforementioned award winning, poem 'Atmosphere'.

On the 26th November 2014, the 'Elgin Writers', awarded me 'Elgin Writers Founders Trophy for Endeavour' for consistent effort, contributing to the group via competition entries and talks helping other members with their work. It's awarded to newcomers, who've progressed the most, in their writing.

I've had, ten, stories published in 'Ireland's Own,' - Ireland's longest, established, magazine. In publication for one hundred years.

I’ve an admiration, and respect for nature, reflected in all, my work.

All of the above have a 'YouTube,' clip talking about each book and I also read other poems on this channel, look up Josephine M Gordon, happy viewing.
