My early writing experience came when I created materials for student leaders at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. There I wrote policy manuals and created an informational wiki for student organizations. I also covered town government for a weekly newspaper for five years. I’m blessed to be a missionary kid and I love to share that experience in my writing. In Miracles at Midnight, I edited my father’s stories about his years in Guatemala where he saw God change lives for the Kingdom. My latest book, A Sincere Heart, is a biography of my grandfather who was a missionary in China. And now I’m excited to start working on a book about my mother, both a missionary kid and a missionary.
I hold a BA in English with an emphasis in creative writing and a MA in Communication with a focus on leadership in small groups. I currently teach public speaking at Valencia College where I use my student leadership training experience to enhance the communication curriculum.
