David J Sime

David J Sime was born in New Zealand, lived in the UK, and has now settled in Bondi Beach, Australia.

His writing career began by penning lyrics for The Naked Apes, a quirky UK-based band in which he also played the electric-acoustic chicken and provided backing vocals that consisted of animal noises and funny voices.

The Troublesome Past of Jamie Johnson is his début novel – it began life on Caye Caulker, temporarily finished in Wellington, re-written in London, and edited for the final time in Sydney
