David Muriel is a freelance writer, artist, poet, and philosopher whose literary work deals primarily with the subject of Christian mysticism. Having studied the works of Christian mystics such as Teresa of Avila, Angelus Silesius, and Emanuel Swedenborg, alongside those works pertaining to the natural laws of harmony and resonance, he has compiled a volume of research from which he reveals the deeper, more esoteric truths of the Bible in a way that is easy for the reader to understand.
Through his current book of poetry, The Light of Meaning, Reflections on the Nature of God, the author provides a beautiful example of speculative theology, delicately blended into a collection of free-verse poetry that he created with the aim of sharing his unique perspective on the nature of consciousness. His own search for truth arose from the personal experience of hundreds of lucid dreams, many of which have involved studying the nature of mirrors and reflection within the dream state.
Balancing the knowledge gained by these inner personal experiences with a deep study of the Scriptures and mystical writings, he gradually began to perceive all of creation as a process of continual reflection, occurring moment by moment as the eternal light of meaning reflects upon the infinite waters of consciousness.
