Maria Takolander

Maria Takolander is a Finnish-Australian writer who has won a number of awards for her fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Her short-story collection, The Double (Text 2013), was shortlisted for the Melbourne Prize for Literature New Writing Award. Her most recent book of poetry, Trigger Warning (UQP 2021), won a Victorian Premier’s Literary Award and was shortlisted for the ALS Gold Medal. Her latest book is the dystopian cli-fi novel The End of Romance (Text 2026).
