Robert M. Wills

Robert M. Wills, MSW, M.Div., was born in Port Huron, Michigan. He is a graduate of Huron University College, London, Ontario, the Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge, Mass., and Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. He is an associate fellow of the Westar Institute, having an long-standing interest in historical-critical biblical scholarship. His book, "Taking Caesar out of Jesus" shows how the gospel portrait of Jesus Christ was modeled on Augustus Caesar by the early Christians. He suggests Christianity would be well served by a more accurate portrait of the historical Jesus, namely that of a wisdom sage.
