I am a freelance writer and author of Adult Inspirational and Children's Literature. I started writing about 30 years ago. I had the idea that an autobiography would be easy. I am still working on that one!

Meanwhile, I wrote a couple of children's books for assignments from early childhood classes. I didn't think I could do anything but non-fiction, but my children's books a selling like hotcakes. (Is that still a contemporary expression)? These books are "Polly Possum's Wandering Path" and "Buddy Finds A Home".

Polly is about a little girl possum who wakes up hungry and goes searching for food. She finds many yummy things (she licks the luscious leafy lettuce and likes it), and suddenly realizes she is lost. Her dilemma is easily solved when she remembers something her mommy told her.

Buddy is the true story, told in simple terms, of a cat that came to live with us. He hopes he can fit in with the other cats in the neighborhood. Does he?

I felt led to write my first inspirational book, "I Lift My Eyes". It has also sold very well, and will likely be ordered for Christmas gifts. Many of my readers have bought extra copies to give away. It is filled with short stories with scripture to show how God was in each of the incidents. It works well as a devotional, as a book to leave on the bedside for a quick look before you falll asleep. Many of my readers tell me they read the book cover to cover the first time, then went back and read individual pieces later.
