Gary Kent born 27 June 1957,at Lincoln. Educated at St Giles Secondry School. Joined the Armed Forces at 16. Enlisted into the Blues & Royals. Reached the rank of Corporl of Horse (Sergeant)completed 22year service, with 2 years junior soldier. My autobiography story is my own work, in my words of what my life was like for me during the period from 1973 until 1997. My slight dyslexia with the spelling of words I have written with in the story. My publisher wonted to correct my mistakes. For me I felt this would not give a true account of my work and my condition. Told in 24 chapters each chapter is a represention of one year of my service, with a brief history of an event which had a profound affect on the way I carried on with my life, and still has. I decided to write this biography for my son. So hopefuly he would understand what the Army was like and how the military has changed through the years.
