Marcus T. Jones

Marcus T. Jones born in Augusta Georgia is an author with a raw, edgy, bold, and uninhibited way of writing, growing up in the rough and difficult streets of Barton Village and the Sun Set projects he experienced the harsh life of poverty and violence. Not ever feeling that he belong he finally found an outlet to escape the hard environment he was surrounded by, writing. Though he started writing in the 9th grade, with no artistic guidance from his surrounding he didn’t take it serious and it was thrown to the side. 7 years later after adult hardship he decided to follow a dream and picked up where he left off, he started again.

His first novel The 7th Man was a vision to first add to and change the cliché structure of urban entertainment. Drama, comedy, action, pimps, and gangsters is the cliché literature as well as Hollywood standard for the urban arts. Frustrated with the same type of black or urban genres Marcus felt something was missing, horror. By combing his life experiences with his wild imagination he created The 7th Man a novel that is sure to breathe life into the genre of urban horror and shake up the literary world.
