Pamela Proehl

About The Author

Born in Seattle, Pamela Proehl, spent her early childhood in Huntsville, Alabama before returning to Washington. A Washington State University alumna, she retired from medical sales to devote herself to writing. Her first published work was Whispers from the Heart (Xlbris, April, 2011), a lyrical collection of poems.

A huge fan of murder mysteries, Pamela decided on the psychological thriller as the genre for her debut novel, The Heartbreak Killer, just released in April. In the story, the killer hunts his victims down in the streets of Seattle and a local school teacher turned psychic fears she's his next victim. Many of the locals will be familiar with the places mentioned in the book as the nerve wracking drama unfolds. They will also recognize Washington's signature weather (rain) in Proehl's creative prose: "what sounded like a thousand little fingers tapping on a computer keyboard."

Patricia Cornwall is one of her favorite writers as well as James Patterson, Jodi Picoult, Ken Follett and Nicholas Sparks.

Pamela resides in Redmond, Washington with her family.
