Vic Broquard

Hi,

I'm Vic Broquard, a retired junior college professor and now a full-time author and publisher.

I have written seventy novels across ten series, along with eleven textbooks on computer programming.

I write science fiction and fantasy, and the same question runs underneath most of it: how do societies actually change across very long spans of time, and what happens to the people living through it while it happens?

In Planet of the Orange-red Sun, now complete at fifteen volumes, an isolated race of telepaths on the rim of the galaxy is discovered by a space-faring Imperium. The series follows both civilisations across roughly five hundred years, from sword and shield to starships, and it is told mostly from the point of view of the people the Imperium considered primitive.

The Adventures of Elisabeth Stanton runs to thirteen novels. The Lindsey Barron series is my American magic series. The Trident series is fantasy in three volumes, and Sol Empire is more recent, with characters entirely its own.

I am a pantser. I rarely know where a character is going, and every so often one of them takes off with the story and I follow. That is still the best part of the job.

All of my books are available in Kindle and paperback editions.

I also am into photography and quilting, making full-sized, hand quilted quilts. I play five different sizes of recorders and am in two music groups. We play medieval, Renaissance, and baroque music.
