Adam Holt

Adam Holt wrote his first book at age 7. It was entitled The Space Vampire, it was three pages long, and it chronicled the life of a space vampire who shows up, eats the world, and then (drum roll) eats the moon.

Unfortunately, The Space Vampire is currently unavailable, so I guess you'll have to settle for the Tully Harper Series, which follows a teen stowaway to real places in our solar system. Enjoy sneaking into space. :)

- as a kid, memorized all of R2D2's tweets in Star Wars.

- dad worked at NASA as a Flight Manager in Mission Control.

- has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa.

- also records music (Stars and Wonder by Lone Star Rambler).

- quit a perfectly good teaching job to write his first book, but he has returned to teaching.

- has heroes: Victor Hugo, Winston Churchill, C.S. Lewis, Rick Riordan, Emily Haines.

- loves the crunchy boom of a rocket launch.

- born and raised in Friendswood, Texas, right outside of Houston, AKA "Space City."
