Wild Bill Callahan

Author Bill Callahan is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served there as a U.S. Army Salvage Diver during the period 1969 to 1971. His main job was body recovery from aircraft crashes, riverine attacks and accidents. He was affected by that experience and still is to some extent. As a result, he decided to leave diving behind and continue his life-long love of things airborne. Learning to fly in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, his first jobs were patrolling pipelines and hauling skydivers. From there he went into his own air freight business, the Caribbean and later into international flying for the U.N. and various oil companies in Africa. However, this book is about his experiences in the almost unknown and dangerous flying that took place from the U.S. and Mexican border during the 1980s. It is a true story of smuggling electronics by air into Mexico.
