Viga Boland

Viga Boland is retired, a former high school English teacher, and the author of 4 memoirs. Three of these are based on the child sexual abuse she lived through at the hands of her biological father:

No Tears for my Father: Viga's true story of incest

Learning to Love Myself: Viga's recovery and self discovery after child sexual abuse

Voice from an Urn: Viga's mother's account of the incest in Viga's childhood and teens

The 4th memoir, though book 4 in this series, is a total departure from the seriousness of the 3 books in the "No Tears for my Father" series. Titled, "The Ladies of Loretto", it is humorous look back at her 4 years in a Catholic high school in the sixties. "The Ladies of Loretto" is available as a personally signed and printed book only from Viga Boland's author website at http://www.vigaboland.com. You will also find digital versions for all eReaders there. The KINDLE version of "The Ladies of Loretto" is also available through Amazon.

Viga's 5th book, "Don't Write that Memoir without Me!" will be available in Kindle & ePub formats from her personal website by September 1, 2016. Printed softcover versions will be available from the CreateSpace e-Store and on Amazon. An easy to read, friendly approach to memoir writing based on her lively and live workshops at her local library over the past 3 years, "Don't Write that Memoir without Me!" will motivate those thinking of writing a memoir and not knowing how to start.

Viga mentors a website and facebook group for memoir writers, called "Memoirabilia" and a book reviewing site, "Vianvi". Viga podcasts and blogs to help promote other writers and is a paid speaker. Mighty busy for a retired 70-year-old eh?
