Jerry P. Orange is an independently published author writing entertaining, historically accurate Western fiction that brings the American frontier vividly to life.

Raised in Kentucky as the eldest son of a Baptist preacher, Jerry P. Orange grew up on Jesus, John Wayne, and Louis L’Amour—an influence that still shapes his storytelling today. His novels reflect a lifelong fascination with horses, frontier skills, and the men and women who built lives in hard country.

Jerry P. Orange’s varied background includes time as a preacher, soldier, rodeo cowboy, and Civil War cavalry re-enactor. His rodeo career began overseas with the European Rodeo Cowboy Association, where American service members staged rodeos across Europe. What started with bareback broncs eventually led to bull riding after he let his mouth overload his better judgment—and he refused to back down.

A graduate of the University of Louisville, Jerry P. Orange earned a degree in Political Science, was commissioned in the Army Reserve, and is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He is also a member of Western Writers of America and an NRA-certified firearms instructor.

Jerry P. Orange lives in Texas with his wife Tracye, a native Texan, his best friend, and his biggest fan. He takes pride in blending lived experience, careful research, and imagination into stories that honor the grit, responsibility, and family bonds of the American West.
