Junior Walker

Born in downtown Kingston, Jamaica Junior Walker a.k.a. Junia Walker a.k.a. Norman Walker would find himself at the heart of the Kingston Reggae scene. This later progressed into Sound System Operator, Record Producer, Songwriter, Composer, Singer and Label Owner until eventually Author.The journey covers the highs, the lows,the good and the bad of life in general and life in the Reggae fraternity. Junior Walker started as a bank clerk with Barclays Bank while launching the Black Equinox Disco that mainly played at bank parties. He would meet producer Keith Hudson and after co-producing a few 7" singles he produced the Dub album "Pick-a-Dub" at the time mainly for sound system purposes. Returns from "Pick-a-Dub" and no longer working at the bank led to the co-author and co-production of "Rasta Communication" with Hudson, which saw Hudson launch the Joint label in Queens,New York and invited Walker to join him in continuing their joint operation started in Jamaica, spawning"Brand Dub","One Extreme to Another" and "Nuh Skin Up Dub" among 12" singles "Desiree" and "Write me your Resume" all with Hudson on vocals. Jusic International label was started in 1979 by Junior Walker and registered as a Corporation in New York in June 1984, unfortunately Keith Hudson passed away in November that year. Walker has since assumed the singing duties as Junia Walker with albums "Roots, Rock,Reggae Showcase", "Glad Tidings" "Roots,Rock,Reggae Showcase: The Sequel","Remix" with compilations "De Attack", "Exclusive Jusic", "Nu Jusic", "Get Your Mind Right","Jusic the Singles Compilation"and "Rebirth".
