I was born in Sanish, Mountrail County, North Dakota and raised all over the western U.S. to the age of ten and moved to Alexandria, MN, in the late 1940s where I was graduated from Alexandria's Central High School in 1955.
My nearly ten-year Cold War military service was with the Army Security Agency in the U.S., Far East and Europe.
I worked for a number of years in retail management and after earning a BA at Central Washington University became a teacher. Subsequently, I earned my MS at Portland State University.
I and my wife since 1959 years live in Vancouver, WA, near our three adult children. We have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
