Garry Gitzen

Garry David Gitzen is the curator of a private l16th - 18th century ibrary of exploration of the Pacific. Dr. Bob La Du of Marquette University has identified him as the world scholar of Francis Drake on the Pacific coast.

As an Oregon historian, his research for the past thirty years has concentrated on Pacific Coast cartography, ethnology and topography of Nehalem Bay. Along with navigation and surveying methods during the age of exploration. He has lectured throughout Oregon highlighting Drake's Oregon landing.
